National School Lunch Program

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a federally funded program that assists schools and other agencies in providing nutritious meals to children at reasonable prices. In addition to financial assistance, the School Lunch Program provides donated commodity foods to help reduce lunch program costs. The United States Department of Agriculture is responsible for overseeing the program nationally. In Florida, the Florida Department of Education, Food and Nutrition Management Division administer the programs.

Ms. Maggie Hedley operates the BDCHS Cafeteria and can be reached at mhedley@bdchs.org. BDCHS also uses myschoolaccount.com for families who wish to manage students’ lunch accounts from home. Parents can now conveniently add money for their child’s lunch and monitor its use. For questions about MySchoolAccount or anything regarding the Phoenix Cafe, contact Maggie Hedley.
